David started his Ph.D in 2019, working mainly on structered illumination imaging of brain tissues and embryos. His project aims to utilize SLIPI, structured illumination tomography and other structured illumination based techniques to perform quantitative 3D imaging of cleared brain tissue. The goal is to design an instrument that can provide better diagnostics for neurolocigal researchers.
The project is in collaboration with the neurological diseases research group at Lund University.
David has a background in engineering and recieved his M.Sc in Engineering Physics, specializing in Photonics, in 2017. His diploma project was performed with the spray diagnostics group and studied the Structured Illumination Fourier filtering (SIF) technique.
