Mehdi’s work is related to the study of phase change phenomena in droplet flow. The use of optical measurement techniques such as Laser Induced Fluorescence allow the visualization of phenomena like evaporation or icing phenomena and allow the determination of many parameters such as the droplet temperature of ice fraction within the droplet. Mehdi works with Edouard on the implementation of temperature field measurements of two-phase flow systems, including the combustion of metal particles and the evaporation of heated droplets from atomizing sprays. His post-doc project started in January 2021.
Mehdi graduated his Ph.D. in 2020 at Lorraine University in France. He studied the modelling and development of optical diagnostics for the characterization of supercooled droplets flowing in a cold airflow or interacting with a subcooled substrate.
